Battletech - The Ronin War
Kavellrist Vitali Dementyev
An arrogant former Solaris mech jock
Vitali is a shifty-eyed young mechwarrior of medium height and build. Somewhat unpleasant to be around, he still fumes over what he feels as an unjust ouster from the game world. He is quick to criticize and to wager on just about anything.
Vitali boasts solid piloting skills and expert gunnery. He is also an accomplished weapons tech.
He pilots a Centurion CN9-A
Vitali was born in the Cathay district of Solaris VII. Groomed all his life to be a champion mech jock, he grew up under the yoke of impossible expectations. Despite the odds, he managed to make a name for himself in the minor class three arenas outside Solaris City and attracted the attention of Tandrek Stables.
Vitali turned to underworld associates to give him an edge in his next few fights through sabotage, drugging, and blackmail to ensure his “one big shot” wasn’t wasted. He thought the wealth and influence he would have as a sponsored mechwarrior would allow him to sever his underworld ties. It turns out the opposite was true and he found himself sinking in ever deeper.
Eventually, his house of cards crumbled when his actions drew official scrutiny. His stablemaster, Roger Tandrek, made Vitali the scapegoat to shift blame away from himself. Fearing for his life, Vitaly fled Solaris VII soon after. He wound up on Rasalhague hoping to ply his mechwarrior skills as a mercenary.
